The Swan Social Raises the Roof and £12,000 for Charities
World-famous DJs Pete Tong and Nic Fanciulli had people up on their feet and digging deep into their pockets to help raise around £12,000 for three worthy charities.
The duo came together to close an amazing line-up at this year’s instalment of The Swan Social, which took place on Sunday, September 30 at The Orchard, in Broadwater Road, West Malling.
Hundreds of people snapped up tickets for the fundraiser, with the event being completely sold out in just over 48 hours. The money raised from the day will be shared between Spadework, a charity based in Offham that provides life skills for adults with learning and physical difficulties, YouCan Youth Support and Teenage Cancer Trust.
Nic Fanciulli, who co-organised the festival with The Swan, based in Swan Street, West Malling, said: “The Swan Social is a very special event that I look forward to every year, not only because it’s held in my hometown but because we raise an amazing amount of money for some incredible charities that are very close to us.
“This year was extra special for me as I was joined by my good friend Pete Tong, who has played a huge part in my career. Pete is also from Kent, so it was great to come together and give back to our local communities.”
During the day, party-goers enjoyed a gourmet BBQ from The Swan’s talented chefs, while dancing away to a stellar line-up of DJs, including Shapeshifters, Justin Bisnar, Paul Johnson, Ian Woodhall and Chris Ansell.
